Dolly Ridge Elementary
What:Ā I visited Dolly Ridge Elementary to present How Mae Got Moxie to each grade level, sharing Mae's story with students through age-appropriate presentations focused on kindness, courage, and the importance of being yourself. It was one of the very first schools to welcome me and the book into their classrooms.

Why:Ā Dolly Ridge Elementary will always hold a special place in my heart because it was one of the earliest schools to believe in the mission of How Mae Got Moxie. Their willingness to open their doors helped turn an idea into a growing movement. Every student I met reminded me why this work mattersā€”to encourage children to embrace who they are, choose kindness every day, and recognize that one story has the power to spark countless acts of compassion.
