What: I visited Harris Early Learning Center to read How Mae Got Moxie to children ranging from 6 weeks to 5 years old. After the story, I introduced them to the heart card project by showing them how to paint their own heart cards, giving even the youngest artists an opportunity to create something beautiful to share with others.

Why: It's never too early to begin planting the seeds of kindness and creativity. By combining storytelling with hands-on art, my hope was to help children discover that they can express love and encouragement long before they can fully put those feelings into words. Every painted heart was a reminder that kindness has no age requirement and that even the smallest hands can make a big impact.
